Cant login by facebook after upgrading

The Facebook login isn't working because of our move to use jQuery as our Javascript library. That library is being included on your site twice, once by K2 and the other by JFBConnect. I'd recommend going to the Configuration -> Misc section of JFBConnect and disabling the "Enable jQuery" setting.

That should fix Facebook, but if you continue having issues, disable the "Show 'logging in' popup" setting in JFBConnect. That should definitely fix the issue, but shouldn't be necessary.

For Google, I'm not sure what's happening there. I registered with Google successfully, logged out, and back in again without any issues. Is this happening with a specific account for you, or all of them? If you are getting a blank white page, please go to the Joomla Global Configuration area and set Error Reporting to 'maximum' and try again. If there is a PHP error on that page, let us know what it is as that will help us diagnose things further.

If the white page doesn't show any messages when Error Reporting is set to maximum, it means your PHP configuration is set to hide errors always, even if asked to show them (by setting that value to 'maximum').

In that case, you'd need to get (or contact your host) to get the php error log for your server so we can determine what would be causing the problem you're having.

The other thing you could try in the meantime is disabling any Social Profile plugins you have enabled to see if that works. If it does, then re-enable the profile plugins one at a time to determine what one is causing the problem. Knowing that will really help us narrow things down and diagnose further.

I just tried to login and it worked fine for me. It did say "Facebook profile successfully connected", which generally means it's a new account, but I'm not sure.

The error message of "insertion error" and the message you're seeing of username and email not valid means that either Facebook isn't returning any data about the user *or* there's already another user with the same username/email combo on your site (possibly from a previous FB registration).

Can you check the JFBConnect -> Usermap area and see if accounts are properly showing up there? Additionally, try going to Configuration -> Misc and set Enable Debugging to "Yes" and then try logging in again to see if there are any new error messages or warnings.

Finally, if none of that helps, please delete my account on your site so I can try to login again and see what happens when it fails.

Thanks for deleting the account. I just tried to login and was brought to the Login / Register page where I can set my username, password and set my account type (Medical student, other, etc). After that, I could see the Insertion error message, though I'm not sure what could be causing that.

Strangely, after that, I went back to the home page and clicked Login with Facebook again and I was properly registered, which is odd. Something with the registration form must be failing, but I'm not sure what it would be. I'm assuming there's a conflict with another extension, but would need more information.

Would it be possible to access the admin area of your site to investigate further? If so, please Private Message me the admin credentials by clicking the mail icon under my name. If not, can you let me know what Joomla User and Authentication plugins you have enabled? That may help narrow things down further.
