When you hover over the Facebook login button, the link will show javascript:void(0). That's normal and not an issue. The button should work as expected. The link in there has to display that way so that other Javascript can be called, which is used to log the user in.

If you are experiencing any problems with the login functionality, definitely let us know what issues you're having and we'll gladly help solve them.

Thanks,
Alex

OK - that's reassuring, however after login using joomla user name / pw I'm unable to Connect this site to your Social using the Facebook Button.
I cannot make the Facebook button work either when logged in or not

Nigel,
I just created an account on your site using Joomla and then was able to click the "Connect this account?" Facebook button and connect my accounts.

Can you explain more about how you're testing and even try from another computer or Facebook account? We'll need more information to understand where the problem is occurring, like your browser, steps your taking and such to help investigate further.

Let us know what you find and we'll work to get you going.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks for the investigation - pleased it worked for you.
On my laptop Windows 8 0 the Facebook login does not work in Firefox or Chrome but is fine in Opera.
In old laptop Linux opensuse it is fine in firefox and Konqueror (all browsers are latest version)
It may or may not be related but the facebook like module is visible in Chrome but not in Firefox in Windows on my Windows 8 laptop.
I'll try other browser OS combinations and update the thread

Can you check if you're running any add-ons in either Firefox or Chrome that are meant to enhance privacy. Add-ons like "Ghostery" and others are specifically meant to prevent some connections to social networks and would likely be causing the issues you're having.

Alternatively, it could be a firewall on the system, but since it works in some browsers, my guess is that that's not the case.

When I tested, it was on a Mac using Chrome. We'll gladly test some more, but I think the issues seems to be more with your setup, and we'd need to nail down what's specific about it.

Thanks,
Alex
