I downloaded JFBConnect this afternoon and I'm having a bit of an issue installing it onto my Joomla 2.5 site.

I tried to install the version of JFBConnect for 2.5 but when I did I got this error message:
JFBConnect v5.x requires Joomla 2.5.5 or higher. Please upgrade Joomla or use the previous JFBConnect v4.x release.
Component Install: Custom install routine failure

So I thought I'd try and install the 1.5 version, and I get a message saying:
JInstaller: :Install: File does not exist /homepages/28/d105262638/htdocs/adventurebikesales/vertex/tmp/install_51ffa89e5c8e1/install/jfbconnect.install.php
Component Install: Could not copy PHP install file.

So now I'm in a position where I can't install it without further help (I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to stuff like this).

Any help? How do I go about installing it?

Note: My website is using Joomla 2.5.4

Joomla 2.5.4 is over a year old and has some major security issues in it. The latest release is Joomla 2.5.14 (10 minor releases past what you're using). There are features in Joomla 2.5.5 that we require for JFBConnect to function, which is why we won't install on anything less. The security benefits of the newer release are a major reason why you should also want to upgrade.

Fortunately, Joomla 2.5 have an integrated updater. If you go to Components -> Joomla Update in the admin area, you can update your site automatically to the latest version. For full information on how to update, see the Joomla Upgrade Documentation .
