Update BS was created by ronpar
So where's the documentation on updating this mess. I just broke my clients site after what I thought would be a simple update.

I DONOT understand why I pay for something, then have to come here and beg for help.

FIX updating, combine versioned updates together, quit killing peoples sites.

Downloading the update package failed. Make sure that your temp-directory is writable, that you have enabled Joomla!'s FTP options in your site's Global Configuration, and that you are using a valid SourceCoast Subscription Key.

Ron,
I'm sorry you ran into issues with the update process. Can you help explain what happened when you updated so we can help understand what went wrong and provide assistance helping get things going again? It's very rare that installing JFBConnect 'kills peoples sites'.

The best way to upgrade is to install the latest package available from this site and install using the Joomla Install Manager. There was an automatic update tool built into some older versions of JFBConnect that was disabled in more recent versions due to some issues. It should still work in those older versions though as long as your subscription is still active. Your subscription on this site looks to expired, but if you're clients have an active subscription, the integrated update tool should work.

The next release of JFBConnect, v5.1, due out later this month will have an improved installer that will install or update all features of JFBConnect with one zip file. It won't fix every annoyance, but it should make the process much simpler.

Again, let us know what happened to the site and we'll gladly help right things however we can. The best information is what version of JFBConnect were you using, what are you upgrading to, and what broke.

Thanks,
Alex
