Could not fetch application and recommendation data from SourceCoast.com. Cached values were loaded, but may be out of date.
It's highly recommended that you make a successful connection to get the most up to date application data and recommendations.

I did make a new secret key in the application, has this anything to do with it?

Please help

Kind regards
Bert Hoekstra

Bert,
If you made a new Secret Key in your Facebook application, you'll need to make sure you update JFBConnect with that new secret key and then re-run Autotune to fetch your application information.

Looking at our Autotune logs, I see that a successful connection has been made and the settings should have been downloaded. I'm not sure why you'd be seeing that message as everything looks right on our end as far as getting the data. Once fetched, JFBConnect stores the up-to-date information that is downloaded in your database and uses it whenever needed. That message is indicating that there are values in the database already (so a successful connection has been made), but trying to fetch the fields again is not working.

Have you changed anything else on your site recently, mainly with your hosting configuration? It's possibly a firewall or other security software is blocking outgoing connections.

I hope something above helps you get started, but if not, let us know and we can help investigate more.

Thanks,
Alex

Alex,
Tanks for the quick reply, i think i understand what my problem is but not sure if i can solve it by my self.
You can tel that i downloaded the needed files and that is true.
I did that on a different domein than i am trying to do in this instance.
I am Moving mij site from a .COM domein to a .NL domein and trough away the databse of the old site.

Is there a way to get the data out of the old database to the new one?
Or can you set my account to new so i can try it aigain?

Hope to hear from you soon.

Kind regards

Bert,
In no way to we limit the number of domains you can connect from. Your Subscriber ID works for unlimited domains and we don't 'check' if it's already been used on domains before. So, moving to a new domain shouldn't be causing problems when connecting to our site to re-run Autotune and fetch the latest settings.

My best guess is that you also moved servers when you switched domains. On the new server/host, there is likely a firewall setup to prevent outgoing connections *or* there is a general mis-configuration on the server that's not allowing the connections to be made. You may need to contact your hosting provider to check that the following domains can be accessed from your server:
www.sourcecoast.com
www.facebook.com
api.facebook.com
api-read.facebook.com
graph.facebook.com

I hope that helps explain and gets you going, but I don't think there's anything we can do on our end either. We'll gladly keep investigating though as we get more details.

Thanks,
Alex

Hello Alex,
I solved the problem myself.
I made a copy of the tabel jfbconnect_config and brought it over the the new domein.
Problem solved. (after changing the domein settings in the app on facebook)
Thanks for helping me in the right direction.

When i logged in with mij face book account, is there a Module to see and edit mij profile on the site?

Greetz,

Bert,
Glad to hear that worked for you. I'd still recommend looking into why Autotune isn't working for you, since it's used to update your Application as Facebook comes out with new 'migration' settings every quarter and can, in general, help diagnose and fix some issues.

Either way, you're going now, and that's what's important :)

For showing your profile on the site, there's nothing in JFBConnect to do that. JFBConnect imports the user's profile information into other extensions like JomSocial, Community Builders or some others. Those extensions have methods to show their profiles best as they are specific to that extension.

I hope that helps explain, but if you have any other questions, just let us know.

Thanks,
Alex
