Topic-icon WHAT HAPPENED? Nothing is working. Very disappointed.

After rave reviews when I first purchased your product in March, I now find that just the mere uploading of the component, et. al. BREAKS MY SITE- exploding the modules all over the place. I have done nothing differently.

To add insult to injury- I am no longer listed as having purchased the product, even though I did so far less than 6 months ago. And I submitted a support inquiry recently, to no avail.

Honestly, I am getting very tired of this circuitous maze of paying for extensions, having them not work, then getting lost in the shuffle or blown-off.

I must have spent hundreds of dollars in wasted extensions- refunds for which are practically impossible to attain.

Please advise. Yours is one of the more costly purchases- I feel that I have a right- we all do- to full functionality.

lhleditor,
We did just respond to your support inquiry. Unfortunately, Friday late night/Saturday morning can experience a longer response time to some questions. Looking at your profile image, your account is being listed as having an active subscription, so I'm not sure what's going wrong there. I've asked for more details in the email response I sent as well and we'll gladly help you figure that out.

As for your problems, we'll gladly help however we can. We've gained those rave reviews because we provide excellent support. However, we'll need to know a lot more about what's going wrong. You mention:

BREAKS MY SITE- exploding the modules all over the place. I have done nothing differently.

Can you describe what's actually happening, provide a screen shot, or let us know the URL that we can see the page at? The description above really doesn't help us understand what may have happened at all which makes providing a solution very difficult.

Some suggestions:
* If you are seeing blank white pages, please set Error Reporting to 'maximum' in the Joomla Global Configuration area.
* Go into your Module Manager and disable any JFBC modules you don't want to display
* If you know, please tell us what version of JFBConnect you were using and what version you're using now (the latest is v5.0.0)
* What version of Joomla are you using, Joomla 2.5.11 is the latest.

Finally, some last questions. When you say uploaded, I'm assuming you mean you installed it through the Installation manager in Joomla. If so, did you obtain the zip file from this site? You mention that you couldn't see the downloads, so I just want to make sure you're using the authentic download from this site, and not from somewhere else.

I hope the above helps get you started, but again, please let us know what's going happening so we can help you more.

Thanks,
Alex

I just went through our Autotune logs. I see that you were originally using JFBConnect v5.0.0 back in March, which was the latest then as it is now. It looks like you're using Joomla 2.5.11 now. Back on June 24th, you ran the Autotune Tool again to verify things and again today.

Upgrading/Re-installing JFBConnect shouldn't have been necessary recently since you were/are using the latest release. Re-installing shouldn't have caused any issues though.

I also looked at the homepage of your site and things *look* normal to me, but I don't know your site, so I'm not sure what it *should* look like.

So, from my end, things seem correct: Autotune is working, you're on the latest version of Joomla and JFBConnect, and your homepage doesn't look broken. Any more information you can provide, again, will be very helpful.

Thanks again, and we'll get to the bottom of any of your issues,
Alex
