sorry i didnt specific but i wanted to ask about how to add like button for a page (on facebook) in an article and not the normal like.

You can use the following tag to show a Like button for a Facebook Page:
{JFBCLike href=https://www.facebook.com/yourpage}
The JFBCFan module works similarly and is specifically for pages. It also lets you show the latest admin posts on the Page or user's that Like the Page, if you're interested in those features.

#2) If you're using any SEF or SEO extensions, I'd recommend disabling them. Also, rename your .htaccess file to htaccess.txt (*only when SEF URLs are disabled*). Once those features are turned off, try the debugger again and see if it works. If so, slowly re-enable them one-by-one and see what is causing the problem.

Other than that, I really can't give too much advice as it could be a lot of things, as mentioned above. You'll need to contact your host or technical department to determine the cause of the strange response codes.

#3) When I go to: meddybear.net/ I get an error. Does that work for you? It doesn't look like your SSL certificate is installed properly from what I can tell.

Hope that helps,
Alex

i deactivated the SEO and renamed the htaccess : now i dont see anymore the error but still cant figure out which app is causing the problem and i need to find it in order to activate the SEO again.

i had similar problem with SSL certification with other extension but then it was not valid so i renew it and the extension worked, i saw the status of the SSL certification is ok on the site, i dont know what you mean by not installed correctly.. i will try to contact godaddy for this and let you know.

If those are the only 2 things you did, then here's how you can narrow things down further:
* Leave SEF deactivated and rename/enable the .htaccess file. Test and see if that prevents the problem.
* Disable the .htaccess file (rename it to htaccess.txt) and enable SEF URLS. However, disable the "Use URL rewriting" setting, which needs the .htaccess file.

That will narrow down if it's the .htaccess file or Joomla's SEF (or a plugin in Joomla) causing the problem. Beyond that, I don't think I'll be able to help you much more as it will be something very specific to your .htaccess file or your site configuration, but hopefully that helps narrow things down to something you can investigate further. Again, it's not a JFBConnect issue.

I hope that helps,
Alex

i see this in the activity log:

Unknown path components: /meddybearconnect:

i have another problem that the like button cant be seen again (the one for the page) and the login by facebook on the registration page (not in the login cmponent but in the registration page itself where i have added it before ) this page doesnt have any other modules for facebook or plugin so i wonder why this happens

problem number 2 is resolved when i deactivate the module which shows the active groups of jomsocial, do they have conflict?

Hanna,
To help you diagnose the Open Graph Action problem, we'll need to know a bit more about what you've tried to configure. Can you tell me what the action and object settings are that you've created as well as what URL you are trying to 'trigger' the action on? That will help us investigate and diagnose things for you.

As for the Login and Like button not showing, on the JomSocial front page, I'm seeing the Login with Facebook button right now. Is the other module you mention enabled? I'm not aware of any conflicts with JomSocial provided modules. However, if enabling that is causing problem, can you enable it and we'll gladly look into what may be going wrong.

Thanks,
Alex

i see this msg in the facebook app field:

Permissions
Your app asks for read and write permissions at the same time. You should only ask for write permissions when a user tries to share something to Facebook.
attention

for open graph i did like this:
As actions:

1. group_join Jomsocial ---> associated with (objects) groups [jomsocial - groups]
2. image_upload Jomsocial ---> associated with groups [jomsocial - groups] and album [jomsocial - album]
3. vote Content ---> associated with article [content - article] and category [content - category]
4. rate Easyblog ---> associated with post [easyblog - post]
5. comment Easyblog ---> associated with post [easyblog - post]
6. comment K2 ---> associated with item [k2 - item] and item [k2 - item] and category [k2 - category]
7. vote K2 ---> associated with item [k2 - item] and item [k2 - item] and category [k2 - category]

fb error msg when any user makes any kind of action :
Unknown path components: /meddybearconnect: (meddybearconnect is the name of the app on fb)

written URLs in the log activity are like this:
/blog/medical-specialties/entry/foods-for-keeping-your-prostate-healthy.html
all without the beginning of the site meddybear.net...

in open graph settings i have wrote only this line:
publish_stream

about the module of jomsocial, i have disabled it because of that the login button is working
it was enabled for 2 days (i have around 50 daily new members and that days i didnt have much) so i enabled it again
i am sending you the info for the site in private so you can try to enable and disable it by yourself.

module name is Group in positon bottom4

thanks again.

p.s. is there a way to add the like button for a page in an article only with name of page and number of like + like button without faces (like the one on homepage) ?

Hanna,
There's a lot of questions and issues you're mentioning above. It's best if you ask distinct questions in new topics to help make sure everything is handled properly.

From the above, the only thing that seems wrong is:

in open graph settings i have wrote only this line:
publish_stream

Where are you setting this value? I'm a little confused. You shouldn't be requesting that permission unless necessary, and JFBConnect will usually only request the publish_actions permission.

Is there a way to add the like button for a page in an article only with name of page and number of like + like button without faces (like the one on homepage) ?

There is a "Show Faces" option for all of the Like buttons. You should be able to disable that wherever you're adding the Like button. Can you explain how you're adding the button to your articles? Once we know that, we can tell you how to disable the faces.

Thanks,
Alex
