Hi, Alex, Is the opengraph action no longer supported by Facebook? Is only possible to post on user's wall with their own message? Some forums say it is a new Facebook Policy. Is that true?
Thanks

Open Graph Actions are widely supported by Facebook and they are expanding support for them on an almost daily basis. The next release of JFBConnect will have even more support for Open Graph Actions for use in different ways. In short, Open Graph Actions are definitely still able to be used.

I'm not sure what you read, but my guess is about "Feed Posts", which are different from Open Graph Action posts. Feed Posts are messages that an application posts to a user's wall as if the user typed it into the "What are you doing?" box on Facebook. JFBConnect can create those messages if you have the "Post on Registration", "Post on Login" or the JomSocial Activity Stream plugin enabled. The first two options for posting on login/registration are no longer recommended for the policy changes that you mention. We even have a big note at the top of that configuration area stating not to use it. That feature will likely be removed in a future version as well for the app policy changes as well.

The proper way to do a "Feed Post" is to let the user see (or preferably be able to edit) the contents of the post before it is posted so that they can approve it.

Open Graph Actions *can* be shown to the user ahead of time, or can be automatically posted, like "Is reading an article" or "Is listening to a song" or "Just voted on...".

I hope that explains, but if not, let me know. If you have more specifics on the issues you're having, let me know.

Thanks,
Alex
