Hi Alex

I had problems a couple of times today when trying to introduce login with Facebook using the SCLogin module which I put on a test page. I kept seeing a pop up saying logging in with Facebook details (or words to that affect) appear and then disappear and so forth and couldn't get rid of it. I ended disabling SCLogin and have been back to autotune, refreshed and went with recommended options.

Autotune does flag up a possible conflict "Warn: Another Facebook extension is installed, including the Facebook Javascript library, and may conflict". I uninstalled another component that did Facebook likes etc.. may be another old Facebook fan or something I had tried to introduce historically but I can find it.

Do think this caused my initial problem described above, I'm very new with the afcebook end of things and not confident I've got either end configured correctly.

Thanks in adv for any assistance, keen to get the login working and then also want to add components for comments, sharing, liking etc..

Cheers
Chris

Chris,
Yes, having another extension could easily cause what you were saying, especially if our "Automatically login Facebook Users" setting was enabled. JFBConnect could have been detecting that the user is logged into Facebook.com, but when we tried to log them into your site, it wouldn't have been able to communicate with Facebook properly due to the conflict. In that case, we'd try, fail, and then on the next page load, go through the same loop.

It could be lots of other things too, but getting rid of that conflict is step number 1 to narrowing things down.

I hope that helps, and you have things going now, but if not, let me know and we'll gladly help how we can.

Thanks,
Alex
