Hi There

I was a bit hesitant on purchasing, I must admit however.. I am so glad I have - I am about to launch our new Youth Football Clubs Website after testing many aspects of JFBC.

I am considering implementing it with another site which uses phpbb3 as master, joomla as slave with JFusion as a bridge, since joomla registration is switched off. Since we already have 10,000+ members who all have a joomla account by default they should have no issues linking themselves to facebook, what I am concerned about is the initial Register with Facebook step. Any advice would be great.

Thanks

First off, we don't test with JFusion. However, we know that many users have a combination of JFusion and PHPBB setup, so you should be able to get it going. The best information I can give is provided from our Common Support Questions page:

How do I use JFBConnect with JFusion?
To properly integrate JFBConnect with JFusion, you should:

Order the JFBConnect Authentication plugin before (lower number) the JFusion Authentication plugin
Order the JFBConnect User plugin before (lower number) the JFusion User plugin
In JFusion, for the setting of "What method would you like to use for dual login?", select "Let jfusion create cookis without accessing files".

That information was provided from users in the past as to what has worked for them. Getting a bridge to work can be tricky though, so I can't guarantee it will be that easy, but hopefully that gets you started. That information was provided over a year ago, but has (so far) stood the test of time. It's possible it's out of date with changes in JFusion (or phpbb), so please let us know if it works or you have problems.

If/when you do get it going, please feel free to let us know the configuration that worked and we'll update the common support questions.

Oh, and finally, if you haven't already, please consider leaving a rating and review for JFBConnect, or our support, on the Joomla Extension Directory. It certainly isn't required, but is very appreciated:

Thanks,
Alex
