Hi,
I am having issues with my JFBC connect installation. It looks to me like a conflict or plugin issues, however, after trying many things I am not making progress...
1.) The comments window does not open
2.) When Include the Recommendation into an article, everything is static...
Please help.

The comment box you're using in the right sidebar is simply too small. The minimum width for a comment box is something like 250px which will allow the comment input text area and the "Post" button to display. It simply won't fully work in such a small area.

For the "Recommendations", I'm assuming you mean the recommendations never change? The way it works is that if the user is logged into Facebook, the recommendations will be displayed based on what Facebook things the user will like. That's chosen based on what other users on your site have Like'd and, especially, if any of that user's friends has Like'd any content.

If you're seeing no changes in recommendations, it means:
* The user isn't logged into Facebook
* There aren't enough Like's or Comments on content on your site for Facebook to generate recommendations.

I hope that helps explain,
Alex

Hi Alex,
Thanks for your reply. Actually, I enabled the comments module because I can't get the comment plugin to work with the K2 articles...
I will disable the comment module..
For recommendation, I used the following .. {JFBCRecommendations site=http://www.ouaganet.com width=350 height=350 colorscheme=dark header=false font=verdana border_color=blue}, but it displayed a box with static content.
The facebook connect works, but I can't seem to get all the widgets to appear my articles.
Thanks

You can still use the Comments module, you'll just want to put it in a wider module position, like the bottom of the page. If you can't get the automatic content box working for K2, let us know and we'll gladly help you diagnose and fix that.

For the Recommendations module, can you explain more by "it displayed a box with static content.". I tried to explain above why it may always show the same listings, but maybe I'm mis-understanding what you're seeing. Can you provide more detail as to what's happening in the Recommendations box so we can look into it further?

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,
It's now the automatic comment box for K2 and other articles that does not open. If I click on comments link, nothing happens.
The recommendation seems to work now:
