Hello,

I was not touching the joomla admin part for a while and I decided to do some regular updates and updated the joomla to 2.5.11 and some extensions as well. It worked fine. I also decided to upgrade JBConnect to new release 5.0 but although I didn't want to I checked July 2013 Breaking Changes to Enabled, it changed to enabled. I frankly do not know the changes and impact so I was not planning to enable it. Afterwards I could not enter the front-end, it gives internal server error 500: page could not be rendered.

Is there a quick way to recover this?

Thanks

I recovered the site from the backups...

I kindly ask how to do the release 5 upgrade 2013 July Breaking Changes. It's my mistake to start without reading.

Thanks

I can't imagine why you received a 500 error. Did the backup fix that problem? Are you on version 5.0 now?

Enabling the July Breaking Changes should not alter the behavior of your site at all. All the changes that that migration enables have been supported by JFBConnect for more than a year (since version 4.2).

I think the July Breaking Changes and the 500 error issue you received were unrelated, and just happened at the same time. Please try enabling that migration setting again and you shouldn't run into problems. If you do though, let us know. We'll be very curious as to what could be happening and gladly help you fix things any way we can.

Thanks,
Alex
