Hi there, any way to control the button text and images produced by the 'Like' content plugin?

Three things, can the order be changed? The twitter button gets shown on one line with the Facebook buttons on the next. Can they be swapped? As the screenshot shows, it doesn't look so good on a narrow news layout.

And can the text to the right of the 'Send' button be removed?

Last, I see some websites have very similar buttons, but theirs are the exact same height, making for a better view when all social media buttons are on the same line. Is it possible to get them to line up better, maybe by different images?

Hope all possible! :D

Okay, update! I've changed the buttons to 'button count', and it all looks much better. No text, shorter, in line and even, great. And no need to change the order, as all on one line.

Buuut, a problem. There are now big gaps between the buttons. Can these be removed somehow??

The "Button Count" mode can provide much better looks, we agree. That's what we would have suggested as well.

As for the spacing, some of that is 'built-in' to the widgets themselves to allow for the count to 'grow'. JFBConnect does add a small amount of margin on it's own though. You can remove that by editing the components/com_jfbconnect/assets/jfbconnect.css and removing the margin-right: 5px from the "div.scsocialbuttons div" section on line 4.

Hope that helps,
Alex

Hi Alex, thanks for the info. I found the setting in the css file and (wildly)
tried -15px for the margin. Looks great to me visually, gaps are mostly gone, with enough left to provide room for a bigger number. Will this cause a problem, what do you think?

And a vote for a pinterest button from me! ;)

Not sure why I didn't mention it, but yeah, -15px is a fine solution :)

We're hoping to get a Pinterest button in the next release. Their code for adding the button is a little more complex than we'd like, but we're planning on it nonetheless.

Thanks, and good luck,
Alex
