hello.
First of all, excuse me for my English, I pass by tools for translation because my English is very poor.

Here is my problem. I have on my Jomsocial site and JFBCONNECT.All functions correctly if the user connects himself with his account facebook, on the other hand, impossibility of carrying out a “manual” connection.

If I use the SCLogin module, I filled the user and the password, I have an error 404 - untraceable component.
If I use the module jomsocial (hello Me), I have a page “This Web page presents a loop of redirection”. The manual return on my site reveals a long list of “Failure of connection”
To finish, if I use the native module of joomla, I have error 404 - untraceable component.

I carried out 2 different installation, and has each time, I have these error which appears.

can you help me?

Jérémy,
I'm not sure why Joomla login would be failing. Did this only happen after you installed JFBConnect?

Can you disable SEF URLs on your site, and see if that helps?

Otherwise, please check your User and Authentication plugins. The only ones you should need enabled are:
* Joomla - User
* JFBConnect - User
* Joomla - Authentication
* JFBConnect - Authentication
Try disabling other User or Authentication plugins to see if they may be causing the problem.

Let me know if that helps,
Alex

Good evening.

one advances all gently. Indeed, by removing SEO, I do not have any more an error 404. there is thus a problem in the rewriterule… on the other hand, still not of possibility of connecting itself… while being connecté.je explains me, at the time of connection, message “failure of connection”, on the other hand, the username appears well in the list of the users online…
odd not?

Go to Global Configuration. Set "Error Reporting" to 'maximum' and turn GZip compression 'off'.
Try again.
That may show a PHP Error Message on your page that will help determine the problem.

If not, let me know what User and Authentication plugins you have enabled (published).

Thanks,
Alex

Alex,

I installed all the plugins of jfbconnect <=> kunena,
but also the plugin jomsocial <=> kunena.

and of course jfbconnect <=> jomsocial.

Wouldn't the problem come from?

does that made doubled bloom enter the entries of information kunena on behalf of jfbconnect and jomsocial?

during the recording of a user, I find it well in all the complements. but only manual connection with kunena is possible… would not have one to online remove the plugin jfbconnect <=> kunena in order to have a communication : jfbconnect <=> jomsocial <=> kunena

in the same way, is jfbconnect compatible with SEO?

Hello,

This day enabled me to advance well.
I found the problem. It comes indeed from jomsocial.JFBConnect is not compatible with the version which I had installed, has to know version 2.8.4

I gave version 2.8.2, and the problem seems solved.

I thus very removed in order to have a clean installation, and I reinstall all in order to assure you this assertion.

Thank you for your assistance

JFBConnect is compatible with SEO. That shouldn't be a problem.
You can install the Kunena and JomSocial plugins and it won't be a problem either. They all should work together.

For JomSocial v2.8.4, JFBConnect is compatible with that release. There are many sites using JFBConnect v5.0.0 and JomSocial 2.8.4. I'm not sure why 2.8.2 works better, but glad you found a solution.

The original problem was only when logging in with Joomla credentials, a username and password, correct? If the Login with Facebook worked, that means that JFBConnect was working. If the Joomla login was not working, then that is not related to JFBConnect.

Glad you have things going though,
Alex

Hello,

All returned well in the order, and with version 2.8.4 of jomsocial.

I think that there was a plugin of activated which made this connection impossible.
After having made a reset and having disabled the plugins, all returned in the order.

SEO is reactivated besides without problem.

Thank you for your assistance.
