Hi,

On my homepage clicking on the Facebook Button at the top Hangs when loggin in. I have autoconnect enabled.

If I were to click on Login with Facebook Custom Function it would log me in.

Ivan,
Your first sentence mentions that it doesn't work when you click the button. Your last sentence indicates that clicking doesn't work.

Can you explain a bit more as to when the problem occurs and how to test for it?

Thanks,
Alex

Yeah.

If you go my site in IE if you click on Facebook button at the top right it would just hang. However if you click on the Login with Facebook button in the left it does log me in. It seems like the custom function works better in this case

Alex,

Ive done some more testing. I have installed JFBConnect 5.0 for Joomla 2.5. If I am using IE10 and click on the top Facebook Button the login box will just close and no redirection or connecting until you go to a profile page. If you click on the login_custom button that I have on the left it would connect.

Can you please clear chache then connect to my site. After you connect you logout then try to connect again via the top right button.
Another test is you connect then logout clear chache then click on the middle left button the custom connect.

Also, when I send a request and the user accepts it the user doesn't autoconnect. If you click on the top facebook button it would just hang inside the canvas.
If you click on the custom login it would show the pop up but then close and hang.

Ivan,
I just got in to test with IE10. I'm not sure why the Javascript button isn't working in the top. Can you just change that to a custom image button instead though? It's an easy solution, and reduces the amount of Javascript on the page resulting in faster load times. Going forward, we're starting to recommend the usage of custom buttons, and our next update to the SCLogin module will have some built-in custom buttons to use as replacements for the Javascript blue-button.

The current SCLogin module already has a parameter to simply set the image you want to use, and should be easy to update.

If you don't want to update to the custom image button, let us know, but I think it's the easiest work-around for IE10.

As for the Request issue, is that only in IE10 as well, or is that in all browsers?

Thanks,
Alex

Alex,

The custom facebook image is the solution and it doesn't hang anymore when you are on the site. However when you send a request and the user gets the request, Inside the canvas it would just say loading and then just close without connecting. It doesn't connect the user.

I tried the autoconnect functionality that used to be working for 1.5 and enabled this www.sourcecoast.com/forums/jfbconnect/jf...canvas-system-plugin for the JFBConnect 5.0 System Plugin.

This would cause the window to reload various times trying to connect. IE disappear and reappear until it gives a connection error. and this is both for Firefox and IE10.

I am undoing the custom change in the system plugin until we can at least find out why it hangs inside the canvas. The custom image is turned on in the ScLogin module.
