I have a blog that is work in progress. I have the plugin - Like set to include the blog category and the View Setting is set to "Both".

On this article: pueloconsulting.com/blog/34-why-i-dont-like-free-joomla-extensions
there is a black overlay covering the mainbody. The same behavior comes from setting it to "Bottom". Only "none" or "Top" solves the issue. See attached screenshot.

On this article: pueloconsulting.com/blog/33-jreviews-with-amazon-s3-and-cloudfront-cdn
I had the same problem the first 25 page hits or so and then it went away and I didn't see this problem again until I published article ID 34 and saw it there.

I have cleared all caches and turned off the CDN but it didn't help. Only putting the buttons at the top or turning them off solves it.

I found the problem. The plugin was too high in the order. I sent it to the end and that cleared things up. The wierd thing is that it was working on one page and not on another.

Ludwig,
Sorry for not getting back to this post sooner. I had looked into it quickly, but didn't have a great solution. I'm glad you found something that works for you.

As for the plugin ordering, what plugin did you change the order of that made it work? That may help us understand why changing the order helped.

Thanks,
Alex

I moved Content - JFBCContent down to the end of the list.

Thanks for letting us know what fixed it for you. We'll have to look into things more as to why that would have changed and fixed the problem.

Either way, glad to hear things are working for you now. If you run into anything else, let us know.

Thanks,
Alex

Actually, there is something else. The site used to be on an older RT template. When Cerulean came out I switched to that and re-designed the site. Just today I was doing some clean up and noticed that RokGZipper was still enabled. That is a deprecated RocketTheme JS and CSS compression plugin. Since I use Apache's deflate module I don't need any compression plugins. So I have a feeling that might have been the root of the problem.

Still, I am going to leave the JFBCContent plugin at the end of the ordering. Since it really has nothing to do with generating anything in com_content other than the social buttons I think it is probably best to let it work last either way.

Sounds good about the ordering; it shouldn't hurt either way.

As for RokGZipper, yeah, that's pretty old. Now they have RokBooster, which should work well with JFBConnect v5.0.0. RokBooster could cause problems with older versions of JFBConnect though, but you shouldn't have any problems with JFBConnect v5.0.
