Topic-icon Creating open graph action easyblog / comments.

Hi,

Finally got back to working on setting up open graph action for easyblog comments on articles (and ratings).
Still at the testing stage and all seems to work fine. Actions are posted to my facebook timeline. No error messages.
My problem is that the action that is displayed in facebook is a snippet of the article text. I would like the action to display the comment that has been made (and the rating when an article has been voted on). Is this possible?

John,
You can't control the text that is displayed 'per-action'. The action is always for an 'object', which is your page. The page itself has Open Graph data inserted into it, by JFBConnect, that are things like the title, description, and image. That data is what's used by Facebook to show the object that was acted upon. That data is 'static' to the page, and not able to be altered for specific events.

I hope that explains, but if not, let me know. It can all be a little confusing, we know :)

Thanks,
Alex

That's clear enough. I guess the question above and my other open graph post were really me checking that I had set up the object / action correctly. Thanks for your feedback. Hope you don't mind but I'm sure I will have further questions over the coming days.

John,
No problem for the questions. That's what your subscription is for. Facebook is confusing, and we're here to answer questions and provide support however we can. Ask away!

Finally, if you haven't already, please consider leaving a rating and review for JFBConnect, or our support, on the Joomla Extension Directory. It certainly isn't required, but is very appreciated:

Thanks,
