Topic-icon Facebook login is not logging into Jomsocial

Simple and sweet, yet insanely frustrating. When users use the "Login with Facebook" option, they are logged in - but when a user goes to access their profile, it has them login manually. It's not connecting the login with the facebook logins. I am losing user interest in my site because of this step. Please tell me what I can do. Thank you!

I can see what you're talking about. I just registered, then went back to the home page and clicked the Signup/Login button again. On the login page, it showed me as logged into Joomla but JFBConnect was not detecting that I had logged in through Facebook.

This is uncommon, but there are some things to check:
* Please try disabling any User plugins other than Joomla, JFBConnect, and JomSocial. Some User plugins have been known to conflict with JFBConnect
* Please disable any Authentication plugins other than Joomla, JFBConnect, and JomSocial.
* Try re-ordering the JFBCSystem plugin to the highest (lowest number) position and then the lowest (highest number) position, but before any optimization or caching plugins

After each test above, please clear your Joomla cache and restart your browser to make sure the new settings take effect. If one of those helps, let us know which it is and we'll help you re-enable any functionality that may have been disabled or changed.

If none of that helps, I'd have to ask you to Private Message me a set of super admin credentials so we can investigate further.

I had only the Joomla, Jomsocial, and JFB Plugins enabled and reordered and all that you suggested. Still no-go. I will pm you a login. Thank you so much for your help. This has been driving me insane. :)

HA!!!! LOL!!! I figured it out :) It was a simple link problem in my RokSprocket Mosaic module. I had http:/www.yoyocommunity.com when I should have had a simple extension url. For example: /myprofile instead of the full url.

I started testing out different menu items and finally found that there was a menu that I could use to access the profile without logging in again. From there I was able to exclude optimal issues and landed on the issue itself. I feel sooooo incredibly foolish. Such is the life of employment in web"mastering".

Thank you so much for your prompt feedback on this issue. I have been sooo frustrated for a couple weeks. I'm one to hammer out all my options before I cry for help. So thank you so much for everything.

Fantastic. I was a bit perplexed myself as to what could have been causing the issue. So happy to hear you found the issue on your own, and thanks for letting us know what the cause was so we know in the future.

In the future, pleease come to us first with something like this. We're here to help and (usually) have answers to most questions. This one was more difficult than most, but you're a subscriber.. we want to help.
