No, never heard of that and we've heard of many users using hwd extensions.. though I'm not sure about photoshare.
JFBConnect creates and logs users in just like Joomla does. Is hwd photoshare 'bridging' to another piece of software, or is it a 100% Joomla extesnion? Sometimes, bridges have issues with users logged in through JFBConnect depending on what they expect.
If it's not a bridge, my best suggestion would be to re-order the User plugins and make sure any hwd photoshare User plugins are triggered 'after' JFBConnect's. That may not be applicable though if they don't have those types of plugins.
