Topic-icon ID/Key for one website, but name, url, domain of another

Hi there, just noticed...

My Facebook ID and key ( as shown in the JFBC config / Facebook API settings) are correct for the website I am working with, yet in the Overview page, the app name, url and domain are for a different website!

I may well have cloned the website from the different website named, but I expected by entering the ID and key for the newly created app, the new info as described when I created the app would be shown. What did I do wrong?? The Autotune is showing the url and domain in red, but not the name. So what should I do? Click to fix I guess, but what about the name? And why did it go wrong? AFAIK, the app looks correct in my devloper's page in Facebook.

Thanks for your help (again!)

Go into the Autotune FB App settings area and hit the "Refresh" button in the top. That will refetch the settings from Facebook. We cache those values for a while since they usually don't change, so there's no point in always re-fetching them.

That will hopefully fix everything with you having to update anything, but if not, let us know.

Thanks,
Alex

Okay, I entered in what was recommended by Autotune on the App Info page and clicked Update. The App name and domain is now for the correct website. Great!

But, for the Site URL, the recommendation is for the correct url, but it is saying without the www prefix.. Another site that I am using to compare has the www, and is what JFBC recommends. But this one says without www. (And I see the other recommendations on the other tabs have no www). Is it important? My app afaik is set up for www, and is what I generally prefer as it is what the customer expects an url to have. What do you think??

The recommendation to use www is completely taken by how you're accessing your admin area. If you go to your admin area as site.com/administrator, Autotune will recommend non-www URLs. If you go to www.site.com/administrator, you'll get recommendations with www. So, if you want www URLs either:
* Edit them yourself it Autotune before setting them and adding www
* Go to the admin area of your site using www and hit Refresh to get new recommendations that should include www.

Hope that helps,
Alex
