Hello, I just got a subscription, installed and set up the component. I am using the joomlart puresite with K2. It looks as if I was already using JFBConnect? At least the social media in the articles still looks the same. What i am trying to set up is the share or send feature. I want to post articles to a facebook page for a company. So that i can promote posts.
The site is here. blog.healthjourneys.com/
I want to send joomla k2 items to here. www.facebook.com/HealthJourneys

emediacy,
JFBConnect does not currently have a feature to automatically post new articles to your Facebook Page, if that's what you're looking for. What JFBConnect can do is:
* When posting a "Status Update" message on your FB Page, you can use the Open Graph tags feature of JFBConnect to control the title, description and image that are used in as the snippet for your page.
* When a user Like's or Comments on a page, the wall post that goes on their wall will similarly use the same Open Graph data about that page to better promote your page.
* Setup Open Graph Actions, which can automatically post to a user's wall when the rate, read, or comment on a K2 article as well as many other 'actions' on your site.
* Setup email notifications so you know whenever the Like/Comment features are used on your site
That's all in addition to the registration functions, friend invites, and lots of other things. It sounds like you're really want to promote your content though, so those are the big features for you.

I hope that helps explain, but if not, let us know.

Thanks,
Alex

At this point all i want to do is send content manually to facebook.Click the send button and have a new facebook post with link back to the blog. I have a like button, but no way to send or share the content. I want to send joomla content to a facebook page, FYI. Facebook and site info is in the first post.

David,
The best way to do what you're looking for is to actually go to your FB Page and use the "Write Something" box where you post a status update. Give a brief intro to your article and personalize it to your FB audience. "Hey, we just made a great blog post, check it out". Then, paste the URL from your post into the status update box. When you paste it, FB will automatically go to your page and fetch the Open Graph title, description and image that are set and create the little 'page info' box under your post. Once that box appears, you can actually delete the URL from your status update and the box will remain.

Once done, you'll have a nice, tailored message for your FB audience for the new article. FB will have fetched the info from the page and the title of the 'page info' box will be clickable for users to go to the actual article.

Hope that helps get you going. It shouldn't be a long process once you've gone through it once or twice. Should you need assistance or have any questions though, just let me know.

Thanks,
Alex
