Hi,

I would need your help.
I configured homepage as opengraph object but still not fetching meta description and custom image when sharing

But when I look at my sourcecode then I can see its there

property="og:description" content="Your diamond and diamond jewelry information search ends now, learn..."
property="og:image" content="www.gem-diamonds.com/images/180.jpg"/
property="og:type" content="website"
property="og:url" content="www.gem-diamonds.com/"
property="og:title" content="Home - Gem-Diamonds.com"
property="fb:app_id" content="432534823482493"
property="og:locale" content="en_gb"
property="og:site_name" content="Gem-Diamonds.com"

My website is Website about Diamond

ok after some more research and trials I found this
developers.facebook.com/tools/debug

and it told me my image was to small, now I made 400X400 and it works.

One question, is it correct to use the facebook object website for homepage, which one should I use?

Glad you found the debug tool. It can be very helpful for narrowing down stuff like this.

By default, JFBConnect will automatically set the 'type' of your home page to 'website' and all other pages to 'article'. You can then customize things however you want from there with Open Graph plugins or {SCOpenGraph type=blah} tags.

Hope that helps,
Alex

Correct, you shouldn't need to do that. The benefit of creating that object is that you have more control over the description length and image that are used though, so it doesn't hurt.

The only thing to note is that if your "Home" category has more articles than just the Home page article, there will be multiple pages with the type=website tag set. It's ok to have more than one page with the "website" attribute, but it means that those pages won't be treated as articles.

Hope that helps explain, but if you have questions, just let us know.
