When I load my site usually I do not see an area for commenting... or log in buttons immediately. I have to reload the page, sometimes multiple times in order to see the module. Anyone know why this occurs?

Your problem is that there's a conflict with the RokBooster plugin that modifies the Facebook tags we used in v4.3. There's a lengthy thread about this on the RocketTheme forums.

Fortunately, if you upgrade to the newest v5.0 release that just came out last week, we've changed things to prevent this issue from happening. The alternative, if you don't want to upgrade for some reason, is to disable the RokBooster plugin.

Hope that helps,
Alex

Thank you... Disabling Rokbooster worked.
I did install the upgrade though yesterday and there was an error that popped up on my site and would not display the entire site. Like it was just one line error on a white screen... =/ so I had to revert.

If you had a fatal error like that, it was likely because you upgraded the main component but hadn't updated the modules or something else related. I believe the JFBCLike module requires being updated to v5.0 when you update the component, for instance, or it will throw problems. Most of the other features, other than the component, should be able to be updated with the Joomla Update Manager, making things pretty easy (hopefully).

If you upgrade again though and run into issues, let us know the 1-line message and we should be able to work things out for you soon.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks! I think I did try to update the other plugins but still had problems. I think I may be a little scared to try it again! =]
BUT I do get another fatal error for something else. The open graph functionality does not work. A user will get an error when going to an article that is supposed to post an activity status to their page. The error that pops up in a blue box at the bottom of the screen reads:

"Fatal error: Call to a member function getCategory() on a non-object in /home/content/b/i/g/bigPixel/html/redboxmc/plugins/opengraph/content/content.php on line 59"
Now when I read that the only thing that looks funny is the portion of the URL that says "bigPixel/html/redboxmc" I would think it should say 'bigPixel//html//redboxmc'. Just knowing the structure of my files. So I have no idea how that would be fixed? =[

Awesome. I'm not sure what you did either, but I'm glad you did it :) If you run into any other issues, of course let us know. We'll help how we can.

Finally, if you haven't already, please consider leaving a rating and review for JFBConnect, or our support, on the Joomla Extension Directory. It certainly isn't required, but is very appreciated:

Thanks, and good luck,
Alex
