Comments on the site are no longer showing up on the Facebook APP moderation page. Do I need to create another App?

No, you shouldn't need to create another application at all. I'm not sure why the comments would be showing up. We're still seeing the comments for our apps, so the tool does seem to still be working.

Looking at one of your sites in Autotune (there are many), I'm not seeing the Open Graph tags I'd expect in the HTML of your page. The Open Graph tags are what 'ties' some of the social features from your site to the tools available on Facebook. My guess is that you need to go into the Social -> Open Graph tab and make sure that Open Graph is enabled.

In the v5.0 release, Open Graph is enabled by default, just so you know.

After you enable it, it may take a few days for Facebook to 'see' the new tags we added and properly populate the information in your Moderation Tool area.

Hope that helps,
Alex

Yeah, that is so weird. I have two apps and I am seeing the comments on the other app but not on the particular one I speak about. I am also tracking it online since there are more people with the same problem like me.

Can you post a link to a page where the comments box is showing, but those comments aren't showing in your app? That will help us verify that all the proper Open Graph tags are setup on that page.

Thanks,
Alex

I am suspecting the component I am using which is HWDVIDEO but the problem is that it has been working before and I have never upgraded the HWDVIDEO component.

I traveled and forgot to FIX the Feb 2013 breaking changes on that App, then on February 12, I stopped seeing comments on that app. My other 4 apps are working though. See screenshot below. I dont know if that might be a problem.

The February Breaking changes is no issue. Those were enacted automatically in early February and did not affect JFBConnect at all.

Looking at your page, I think your System - Cache plugin is enabled and not ordered to the last position. That's very important to do to make sure the page contents are cached after all system plugins have triggered. If the JFBCSystem plugin isn't working, the moderation tools likely won't work. I just opened that page, and I see the {jacomment contentid=4113 option=com_hwdvideoshare_v contenttitle=Royal Time Bomb - Part 1} tag, which means that other system plugins aren't firing properly as well.

Look at your caching and disable it all or order the system - cache plugin to last and hopefully that will help. Again, it can take a few days for FB to scan the page and for it to start working right again.

Thanks,
Alex

Wow, this is weird. The System - Cache plugin is actually disabled (see screenshot below). The error for jacomment is showing because I did not enable jacomments plugin. Let me move to a new template and see if that will help. I will keep you posted.

Definitely keep me posted. I just checked again, and I'm still seeing the {jacomments ...} tag. I am now seeing the right Open Graph tags on the page though, so that looks better. There's definitely some 'optimization' being done on the page. I'm not sure if that's a plugin or a 3rd party service, but if you still have issues, I'd recommend trying to disable any optimization stuff you're doing to see if that helps.

Best of luck,
Alex

What I did was to move the JFBC plugin to the first position. That's why you could see it now. I'm hoping that should fix it. I'm just waiting for the 24 hour mark to give you a feedback.

I wanted to update you Alex. The comments are showing up now. The only thing outstanding is that when one copies the page link to FB, it's not showing the correct image, however if you plug the same URL into FB's debugger, the correct image shows up there. Well, maybe I'll give it a few more days. It might fix itself then.

On an unrelated question, any word on adding a comment counter to JFBC?
