You can see the problem here on the homepage at the top (homepage content is a k2 item.

Any idea what this is? if I disable the k2 like content plugin in jfb settings then it goes away. I use this site as an example to sell your tool to clients... and it being broken makes this tough! Thanks!

Go to Configuration -> Misc in JFBConnect. Enable the "Experimental" setting of "Strip tags from Head" (or whatever it's called). That should remove the tags. In the next release, that setting will be on by default, and then removed in the subsequent release (if no problems are raised).
