Hi Alex.
Here's a shot of my JFBConnect overview.

Autotune:
Warning: Issues were found with your site. Please check all tests below and correct any warnings or errors.

Test: JFBCSystem plugin is enabled
Fail: Not Detected! Please enable in the Site Config area of Autotune or in the Joomla plugin manager.

If enabled, but you still get this error, please check:
If you have a 'mobile template', disable and re-test
Some templates have their own Facebook integration, and actively try to remove other Facebook extensions files. Try a different template.

No further tests can be run until fixed.

Awaiting your assistance. Thanks! :)

If your site is in Offline Mode, that's the issue. The Error Checker will load the home page of your site. If that page doesn't work, or doesn't run Joomla's system plugins, then the Error Checker won't be testing your site properly.

Beyond that though, you can still try to test everything on your own. The Error Checker isn't required to work, it just helps find common issues. If you want to run it, disable Offline Mode, temporarily, run the tool, and then re-enable Offline.

Hope that helps,
Alex

Hi Alex,

Actually, it was sort of in a "fake" offline mode. I was running a plugin called:"n3t Coming Soon"
The Joomla was actually online though.

I disabled n3t Coming Soon now.
And a 403 error comes up when I'm logged in with Facebook already.

I'll keep the site live open for you to see for a bit...(or could I PM you the credentials?)
Thank you.

Please feel free to Private Message me credentials to the site. Also, let me know what steps I should take to recreate the problem. I'm not sure what you mean by "And a 403 error comes up when I'm logged in with Facebook already. "
* Is there a full error message you can report?
* Are you logged into your site using Facebook, or just logged onto Facebook.com?
* Are you logged into Joomla?

You can PM me by clicking the arrow under my name (<----) and hitting the mail icon.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,
Thank you.

Here are the answers.

#1
Error:

403 - You are not authorized to view this resource

You may not be able to visit this page because of:

an out-of-date bookmark/favourite
a search engine that has an out-of-date listing for this site
a mistyped address
you have no access to this page
The requested resource was not found.
An error has occurred while processing your request.

#2. When I am logged into Facebook.com and then visit my site. I get the 403 error once the home page loads after a few minutes.
When I'm not logged into Facebook.com and visit the site, the error doesn't come up until I log into Facebook.

#3. The problem seems to happen whether I'm logged into or not.

I will PM you know. Thank you!

The issue wasn't with JFBConnect at all. It took some looking, I figured it out. Your home page menu item was set to go to a K2 Category and was set as "Public". However, if you went there when not logged in, you were redirected to the login page. So, something else was restricting the K2 Category view. I went into K2 and set the master category Access Level from some custom example level to just "Registered". Then, the home page still redirected to the login page, but when logged in (through Joomla or Facebook), the category view is visible.

Hope that explains and teaches you a little more about Joomla and the access levels. It can get confusing.

Good luck,
Alex
