Hello!

I have found some posts here that other users use JSPT with JFBC (without PayPlans).
Also there is a statement from the support team:

We do know others have used JFBConnect with JSPT, but my understanding of how they've made them work well together is use the Automatic registration mode of JFBConnect (to automatically create the user's account) and then redirect the user to a JSPT profile selection page after the account is created. We've never tested that method before, but like I said, it's what we've heard works.

I tried several configurations, but nothing worked yet. Could anybody help me what exactly make it work?

Thank you!
Cheers
Isabella

Isabella,
We've never used JSPT, but I can help with some information on what has worked for other users. Can you let me know the flow you're looking for when using JSPT on your site with JFBConnect?

Mainly, as in the quote above, the solution we've heard works is to have the user register through JFBConnect and login that way. After their account is created, they are 100% standard Joomla/JomSocial users. So, at that point, you should just need to direct the user to select/edit their JSPT profile, just like you can any user who registered who logged in through Joomla.

If you're looking to have the user select their profile type first, or during the registration process, that's not something that I think is possible with JFBConnect and JSPT currently.

Hope that helps. Once we know more about your desired flow, we can try to help narrow down the feasibility.

Thanks,
Alex

Hello Alex!

Thank you for your quick answer which help me to understand that it would be impossible to choose the profiletype from the beginning. So far it should be no problem if users get registered via Facebook first and they choose their profiletype after this step.
I tried to integrate the login at the JSPT registration page ( JSPT registration pagehttp://erotickets.com/index.php?option=com_xipt&view=registration&lang=de ) with {JFBCLogin} but it is not showin up as I thought it should be.
I tried to get into JFBC by looking your great tutorials, but I`am not sure if I can handle this.

Cheers

Isabella,
Can you first try to disable caching on your site. If that's enabled, it may be preventing the {JFBCLogin} tag from showing. If so, no worries, we can help you re-enable it.

If that doesn't work, can you check the Social -> Misc configuration area of JFBConnect? In there is an "Admin Render Key". For now, leave that blank. If you have user generated content on your site, the Render Key can be used to prevent your users from entering {JFBCxyz} (and the social widgets that would display) anywhere on your site.

If you want to use the Render key, then you'd need to update the tag to look like {JFBCLogin key=1234} if the Render key is 1234.

Let me know if either of those help, and if not, we'll keep helping.

Thanks,
Alex
