SSL connection question

The login popup should always appear in SSL. If the popup on your site is not opening with a secure URL, please let us know what the URL for the page is for us to test. We've never heard of it not opening in an SSL window. There are no configuration settings in JFBConnect that will change that behavior and you do *not* need an SSL certificate installed on your server.. it should just work.

Thanks for the credentials and for setting up a separate demo site. I tested on the site, and the popup actually appeared in SSL for me, as it should. I did some testing, and think I found the issue though. Can you log in to Facebook.com, and then go to:
www.facebook.com/settings?tab=security

Check the setting you have for "Secure Browsing". It should be "enabled", which is the default. When I disabled it, the popup on any site appeared in a non-SSL window. That's a user-preference setting, and not something we can override.

Hopefully, that's the problem and you'll be all fixed up. If you need more help though, just let us know.

I'm not sure how the other extension was generating it's login link. There are multiple ways to do it, and it's possible they're doing so in such a way that it's always SSL. Either way though, the way we do it should definitely work and not cause you any problems while respecting the user's settings.
