Topic-icon JReviews Open Graph plugin pulls in 404s on images [SOLVED]

See the attached screenshot. I turned off JReviews Open Graph and enabled the JFBConnect JReviews Open Graph plugin. Now the default image is using the Joomla category image (my ugly map markers) and the rest of the images are not pulling in correctly because the URLs are wrong.

Related question: Will the {SCOpenGraph} tag work in a JReviews Listing even if JFBConnect's JReviews Open Graph plugin is unpublished?

The {SCOpenGraph ...} tags should work on any page you use them, including the JReviews listing details.

As for the images, the JReviews Open Graph plugin currently 'asks' JReviews for the images associated with the current listing and then inserts those as Open Graph images. Are you using those map markers as images in your listing details, or are they pulled from somewhere else?

Looking at your restaurant listing, JFBConnect seems to be pulling out the image as:
miraargentina.com/images/jreviews/_canel...ant-1-1340221136.jpg
However, looking at the HTML, the actual image is:
miraargentina.com/media/multimedia/fotos...ant-1-1340221136.jpg

How are you adding those images to JReviews? It's possible we're grabbing those images incorrectly and just need to upgrade our Open Graph plugin.

Thanks,
Alex

The images are uploaded when adding a new listing or when adding images to an existing listing. At that point JReviews, depending on the media settings for Listings, then proceeds to create the various necessary thumbnails and stores them in the appropriate folders. You can see in the URL the folder "290x200c". That folder was created when I set Main Media Thumbnails to 290x200 in JReviews admin. The numbers following that folder are generated on the fly when the image is uploaded.

So, basically, there is never a static link to JReviews images.

Keep in mind I am on JReviews 2.4 (brand new version) which has lots of media changes over 2.3. Maybe I should go back to JReviews Open Graph for now until you and Alejandro work out the plugin for the new Jreviews version.

The map markers are Joomla category images. They are also assigned to categories with the GeoMaps addon, but they are not assigned to the listings.

Ludwig,
We haven't tested with JReviews 2.4 RC3 yet. It's still not an 'official' version, so we haven't put a huge amount of resources into testing. We'll be doing that soon. Until then, we recommend v2.3 for our Open Graph plugin. If you're not using that version, we'd recommend you not use our Open Graph plugin considering the issues you're running into.

Sorry for the trouble, but we'll be spending more time with 2.4 soon, after our Joomla 3.0 compatible version of JFBConnect is released.

Thanks,
Alex

I went back to the JReviews Open Graph as you suggested. Thanks for confirming that the plugin is not yet set up for JReviews 2.4.

The {SCOpenGraph} tags work fine in the JReviews Listings for overrides.

Glad to hear you have something that's working for you now. We'll be very excited to fully support JReviews 2.4 shortly, and have already talked with Alejandro a bit about some of the cool things we can do with tighter integration. Just need time to get it all done :)

Thanks,
Alex
