Hi,

Was wondering what the best FB setting are for the Jomsocial Album uploads? I've successfully used Jomsocial plugin > FB Read / Article however the FB Activity Stream does not read correctly Example "Dave read an article on Aerosol Planet. - "...This does not read right. I've tried "upload" but this is restricted to the FB Upload API .....Is there a way of creating a custom non-facebook Action ?

You want a "Dave uploaded a photo" post to the user's wall? We got you covered...

* Create a new object in Facebook called "photo" and an action called "upload". Those will be custom objects and actions, not things that will show up in the drop-downs.
* Make sure you've uploaded and enabled the Open Graph - JomSocial plugin.
* Create a new Object for "JomSocial Album" (I think that's the name). The type is 'photo' and it's *not* a FB Built-In Object.
* Create a new Action for "JomSocial Upload Image". The type is 'upload' and it's also *not* a FB Built-in Action.
* Associate the action to the object in JFBConnect and make sure both are published.

All should be good then, but test.

Good luck,
Alex

Hi Alex,

Thanks for this...I followed this and can get posts posted to my Admin Facebook account however even though they are posted successfully I get the following error in the blue Javascript box indicating that an association to "article" is required which is odd as I dont use this in this action / object..
Error: The action you're trying to publish is invalid because it does not specify any reference objects. At least one of the following properties must be specified: article.
An action has been posted to your Facebook Timeline.

Dave,
Can you tell disable any actions you've configured *except* the upload one. Then, edit the Upload action and make sure the "Action Type"is set to "Manual". If it's set to "On Page Load", that will try to trigger the action when just viewing the page, which is incorrect.. you only want the upload action to 'trigger' when the user has actually uploaded a photo.

If the single enabled action of Upload still throws both of those messages, let us know and we can try to look into things further as to what might be happening.

Thanks,
Alex
