Yup, I just tried to register/login, and it did seem a bit slow. Not sure why that would be immediately, but here's the steps I'd take to debug it:
* Turn on "Display Facebook API Errors on the Front End" in the Facebook API tab of Configuration area of JFBConnect. That will show if there are any errors happening during login (mainly with communicating with Facebook).
* Disable any JFBConnect - Profile plugins you have enabled. Those make extra connections to Facebook and may slow down the process.
* Disable the award points or anything else that happens on your side to award or configure the new user specially.
Test after each step and see if things drastically improve (or show errors). We'll be able to help diagnose things more, or re-enable those features, once we know a bit better where the problem may be.
