Hi there, I have some good news! My OG is working on reading from my K2 articles.
Right now I have 1 object news.read which is assiocated with two K2 categories which triggers on page load. That works for both categories

However when I make another 'news/read' object and link that to only 1 category, the activity will not work.
The reason is that I want differnt automatic actions per category

I'm not sure what you mean by different automatic actions. The main one I'd think you'd want is just news.reads for all of them, but if I'm missing another auto-action you'd want, let me know.

As for the Objects and categories, please note that JFBConnect understands the nested category and will choose the closest object that matches the current category. So, if you have an Object for the top-level category in K2 which encompasses all sub-categories and then another Object for just 1 sub-category, the 2nd one will be used always for that category. You'd need to associate any actions with that sub-category object that you'd want it to take advantage of.

That gives the most flexibility over how actions and objects are configured and triggered.

Hi Alex,

What I meant was this. suppose I want different Automatic Actions per category. So category 'sports' can have the setting ' onpage load 5' and category ' music' can have let's say on page load 0. is that possible? Not sure if this is desireble but just a quick thought.

As for the objects and categories I will experiment with that some more. As now it's clear to me that actions are posted only once per article.

You shouldn't set the auto-post to be less than 10 as that's the minimum required time per Facebook's guides. But, your point is still valid if you want 10 and 20 seconds.

To do so, you should be able to create 2 different Object Types, one for each category you want to be 'different'. Then, create 2 different action types and only associate each one with the specific object you created for it to work with.

Hope that helps,
Alex
