Ever since JFBConnect 4.3.0 I started getting email notifications with the the meta title of the homepage, but no link. Likes on the subpages seem to work OK. The notifications come with the correct titles and links. But once in a while I get this notification:

That is my homepage meta title, but there are not any new Likes on the homepage. I double-checked miraargentina.com/index.php but it has 0 likes so that's not the problem. My Analytics account shows the new Likes, but I don't know where they're coming from. The fact that my homepage meta title shows up in the email notification worries me. I don't know which one of the following is happening:

1) JFBConnect email notifications are not correctly grabbing the URL Liked.
2) Page tab or canvas are being liked with dynamic FB URLs?

I do NOT have any runaway duplicate pages on my site, and I double-checked Analytics just now to make sure. So this definitely has to be 1) or 2).

I am still on 4.3.0 because of some bugs with JReviews. Haven't tested 4.3.2 yet...

Any insights are appreciated.

Ludwig,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to this. It appears the issue is with how we updated the email. Previously, we just included a link to the page where the Like originated. Now, we also include the title of the page. I'm not sure why the link isn't showing on the home page (something we are investigating).

Overall though, the thing to note is that the link in the email is from the page the Like button was clicked on. The actual URL being Like'd is *not* the URL you necessarily see. So, on a blog view, there are many Like buttons for each article. When a Like is clicked, the email will have a link to the blog view, not the article that was Like'd. We're looking into improving that as well.

Hope that all helps, but if you have any other questions or comments, let us know!

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks for the reply and no worries about the timing. This is not an urgent issue and I know you have been busy getting bugs out of the new Open Graph features.

Anyway, the only page that has the title I quoted above is the homepage. And it did NOT receive any new likes. However, I have 3,000 JReviews listings, so if for some reason the title is not being pulled in properly then it could be any of them. Impossible to know!

I just got another one without a link:

I am pretty sure the page is accurate but it also had no link. Another thing I have been noticing lately is that FB and Google (at least from my location) have had lots of problems loading widgets and such lately with Firefox. Not so in Chrome. Maybe there are some wires crossed in DNS cyberspace causing the inconsistent JFBConnect emails.

And I don't have any Like buttons on my blogviews, so it's not that.

Just some thoughts.
