K2 Meta Description Tag Not Getting Rendered was created by andmcg

I am trying to figure out why K2 is not showing the correct meta description tag for my site. It is picking up the default description settings from the global configuration rather than from the individual article. Someone on the K2 boards said that this is not a K2 issue but that the description tag is getting overwritten by another component. I looked at it and noticed that it had the OpenGraph tags and thought perhaps it was JFBConnect that might be affecting the meta description tag? Any thoughts? Thanks so much in advance for your help.

JFBConnect shouldn't be doing that, but we've been caught doing naughty things in the past (on accident, of course). To rule us out is very simple though.. disable the JFBCContent and JFBCSystem plugins. That effectively disables everything JFBConnect do on your K2 (or just about any other page). If the description is still incorrect, you know where not to look.

In general though, the general meta description tag is not something we modify at all. JFBConnect only sets the Open Graph tags, and while we'll look at the meta description tag to possibly use that for an OG tag, we shouldn't be setting that tag.
