Not dense! Facebook's just confusing, so there's always a lot to learn
When someone Like's an article, it can show up on their wall. It's up to Facebook to decide how it displays in their profile, though, so that's not a guarantee, though it's likely. It will not show up on your business page that "Bob Like'd xyz page from <your site>". There's no real link between your FB Page and the URLs on your site, so that connection really can't be made. Also, if you get a lot of Like's on articles on your site, you really wouldn't want a continuos flow of user-Like's on your FB Page as that would drown out real content. The same goes for Content.
Hope that all makes sense. The idea of posting to a user's wall is to get their friends to see your content. You are in control of what posts to your FB Page, so to do that, you should create a status update and link to your content. That will promote your content and then, hopefully, get your user's to Like or Comment on that article which will post in their wall and draw their friends in.
