Dear Sourcecoast,

Please consider review the choose category to multiple. This is a big problem for several categories.

Renas,
What Open Graph plugin are you talking about? The category drop-down for Content, K2, and EasyBlog will work for any sub-categories as well. So, if you choose the parent category for a large number of sub-categories, all of those sub-categories will be included in that Object Type. If you create a Parent Object and then a new object type for one sub-category only, it will work as well so that all categories get type1 except for the one sub-category with type2.

There's a lot more to do in our documentation and we plan to create some videos demonstrating this, but I hope it helps out. In general, yes, you may need to create a few Object Types for a few parent categories, but you shouldn't need a new object type for each category on your site.

Let me know if that helps, or if you need more information.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alzander,

Yes, that solved the problem. But, in the future it will be good to assign multiple categories and not just the parent and all the child. Both wold be great. Parent and all the child or just some.

Why? Well, actions could be specific from some content.

Now the "problem" is resolved.

Tks for your help.

renas

We agree it would be good to do multiple categories, but it's actually a lot more difficult than it may sound. For doing specific content though, where you only want some categories to post and others not to, in that case, you'd have to either:
* Create an object for each sub-category you want to post. Have the action work with each sub-category.
* Create an object for the parent category and then another for the sub-category. Have the action work for the parent. Since the sub-category would have it's own object type, it won't be triggered even though the parent has that action.

Hope that all makes sense! Any other feedback you have on Open Graph Actions is very welcome!

Thanks,
Alex
