Event support isn't something we have built-in to JFBConnect. It's something we've been evaluating for a while and may add it in a future release. Until then, you'd need to have a developer who could implement RSVP functionality for you if you have an article that references an Event on Facebook. I'm not sure what it would take to allow users to join events from your site, but I think it'd take a bit of time and development to get it done, just so you know. There's lots of restrictions on letting users do things on your site that they could do on Facebook themselves.
If you do have a developer, we'd gladly help give pointers however we can, but it's not something we'd be able to implement for you.
Hope that helps explain where JFBConnect stands, even if it's not possible to do what you're looking for right now.
