There should be an "Attachments" link in the bottom left of the comment box. That has a popup where you can upload photos. When you do, then click the check mark next to the image to include it in the post. I'm not sure what icon you're talking about though, so seeing the image would be good. If it's the one from the "Activity Log" on Facebook, you can't change that, but that area's private to you, so I wouldn't worry about the image. If it's in the post itself, yeah.. need an image.

As for the Test User, do not not not not not not create a fake FB account. That's the best way to anger the Facebook Gods. You might have missed it, but we have a page on creating the test users you'll need for submitting your actions:
www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/open...ions/testing-actions

Hope that helps! Very excited to see actions being submitted and WORKING! :D Let us know how it goes!

OK, thanks...I guess i missed that section on testing, I'll read it more carefully.

And, yes, now i see the attachment button. See the attached image to see what I am talking about. The small red icon should be larger right? Or is it supposed to be pulling an icon of the photo i uploaded on the site?

Unfortunately, due to (what I consider) a bug in JomSocial, each image in JomSocial does not get a unique URL. Because of that, there's no way to link to the actual image, just the album home page. So, our Open Graph plugin for JomSocial will set the album's home page image to the default image for the album. If that's not set, that would be your problem... no image == Facebook 'guesses' at the best image to use.. and it may be picking a bad one.

So, I'd check your album's home page and see if the cover image is set. Then, open the HTML and search for "og:image" and see if it's set to something.. and if so, see if the image seems right. If not, either way, let us know and we can try to help figure it out.

Hope that explains,
Alex

Thanks Alex,

Yes, this does explain it, but it doesnt seem to be working correctly. The og:image is defined (see screengrab):
File Attachment:

and the link is correct for the thumb: kisscam.com/images/photos/749/4/thumb_ba...ad4287bbcfcb337b.png
but i still get the small icon, whats funny is this icon is not on the page or even on the site, it is definitely being pulled from the Facebook App.

PS: I also have JomSocial set to automatically assign the first photo as a "Cover Photo", in the case above I changed it manually. The cover photo is fine, it would be nice of course to have the actual uploaded photo be the one the image that is posted...but for now, this works.

I deleted the Test User post.. no worries about the confusion, it's something we can probably make clearer.. one of many things :)

As for your problem, I think I have a good idea. The image you linked to is over https (SSL), while it looks like you don't have a valid SSL certificate on your site. Because of that, Facebook may simply be ignoring that tag. Can you either a) get an SSL cert or b) stop your site from being used over SSL? When I went to that page, my browser put up very large warnings. Not something you'd want your users to see or deal with.

Hope that helps,
Alex

Thanks. The guy running the server(its a private server), wants to go with option B, but I though Facebook required an secure page and canvas. So is it doable to go without those secure pages/site? It definitely works now, as soon as he turned off SSL then the images were being pulled into Facebook as expected.

SSL is required for the Facebook Page Tab or Canvas integration, as well as the Requests feature (which requires Canvas, and so therefore, the SSL requirement).

However, the SSL you had enabled wasn't a valid SSL certificate. So, it was causing more problems than it was solving by enabling it. Unless you need those features, I'd recommend disabling SSL altogether. You don't need SSL for Open Graph Actions, Login functionality, social buttons or most other features.

Hope that helps explain, but if you have any other questions, you know where to find us!

Thanks,
Alex

Sean,
It likely won't show in your Timeline on Facebook since it's not an action that's been approved by Facebook yet. It should show up if you go to your main profile and then click the "Activity Log" in the bottom right of your cover photo. Sometimes, we've noticed that an action can take up to 30 minutes or so to actually show in that area. Not sure why there can be such a delay, but patience is a virtue when testing.

If you're still not seeing it there, and you're not seeing an FB Error Message in the JFBConnect Activity Log area, let us know. That'd be strange, but there's definitely some hiccups to work through on things.

Also, if you do have a lot more questions about this, I'd recommend creating a new post altogether, unless it's directly related to some of the issues Riceman had above. It helps keep things cleaner.

Thanks,
Alex
