[SOLVED] Error when first running Autotune

The only time that message appears is for the reasons you mention: cURL is not installed (there is a check on the Autotune home page) or something is blocking communication to our server to get the recommended settings for your site.

Can you check you PHP configuration in the System Information area of Joomla. Specifically, check the disabled_functions list and let us know what your setting is. It should not have any curl functions listed.

Beyond that, can you go to your command prompt and try to do both of the following commands:
nslookup sourcecoast.com
ping sourcecoast.com

Let us know what that returns.
