On my site stedica.com I installed the component JFBCOnnect

I entered the basic FB information Application ID and Secret Key to save and run the Autotune.

I get the error Facebook API Error: (#100) Unknown fields: auth_dialog_description and the message:

Your Facebook Application looks to be new. Would you like JFBConnect to automatically configure most settings for you

1 option to auto-configure, which return a 500 server error and the manual which does nothing but reload the same page.

Please help.

Sorry for the troubles. Facebook looks to have changed one of their fields names. We've updated Autotune and you shouldn't see the error #100 message anymore. Just hit the "Refresh" button at the top to re-fetch the fields.

As for the 500 error, I'm not sure what's causing that. Hopefully, the fix we just implemented will fix it. If not, please go into you Joomla Global Configuration and set your Error Reporting to maximum and disable GZip compression. Then, see if you get a new error message or some other results. Let us know either way and we'll help get you going however we can!

Thanks,
Alex

Glad to hear that got you going with the #100 error and thanks for pointing that out!

Unfortunately, you can change the font-color of the module. The options present for border and background color are all that Facebook provides, and therefore, all we can provide. You can see their configuration tool on the page below if you'd like to see/test the options:
developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like-box/

We've heard of users preferring the "Light" color scheme on dark sites for just this issue. We'd really like it if Facebook had a way to override their styles, but they don't offer that capability anymore. They used to, a few years ago, but it was abused in such a way that Facebook removed most of the customizations possible.

The other option would be to set a different background color for that module position in your template's CSS file. We can help with that if you have any questions, and is the best advice we can offer.

Hope that helps, and good luck,
Alex
