Hi.

Suddenly I lost facebook like button everywhere on my site (I'm using K2) and fan box is not working either.

I just upgraded to latest version to make sure that this is not a version issue , but still the problem is there.

Furthermore when I disable the system - jfbcsystem plugin and I use a custom fan box (not the JFBC fan box) the fan box works. When I enable the plugin the fan box stops working. Something from jfbcsystem is messing with my site.

Here is the site:

Here is a k2 article the like button should appear

Sveltoss,
I'm seeing the Like button on that page and the JFBCSystem plugin is enabled as well. Facebook has been having some Javascript 'glitches' over the last day or so, but they look to be clearing themselves up.

Are you still seeing issues with the Like button? If so, let us know what browser and OS you are using and we can test more. From what we see though, everything looks good.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi.

I can't see the like button in the example I posted above, in fact nowhere on my site yet.

I tried all major browsers.

How can you explain that when I disable the jfbc plugin my custom fan box code works, otherwise it doesn't?
Everything used to work fine until yesterday as far as I can remember.

How are you adding the custom Like code? Are you using the iFrame version or the Javascript version? We use the Javascript version, which could explain the difference.

Also, I do only see the Like button at the bottom of the page, with the Twitter, LinkedIn and G+ buttons. I didn't see you mentioned the Like Box (Fan box) as well. Looking at the code, you're correct, I don't see the tag for that module anywhere.

Can you let me know, just to clarify everything:
* Can you see the Like *button* at the bottom of the article?
* Where should the Fan Box be?
* How are you including the Fan Box, with the JFBCFan module or the {JFBCFan url=xyz} tag?

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks for your answer.

*I cannot see the like button next to twitter, linkedin and G+ buttons. I saw it once sometime after I opened this support ticket and that's it. Never again.
*The Fan Box is located οn home page (right column). I use the javascript code and not the iframe. Your module is not working either if I publish it.

Hope this helps.

It's really strange you can view the like button so easily whereas I can't. Does it have to do with my country (Greece?)

Thank you.

Everything seems to work again this morning.
This must have been a facebook problem.
Thank you for your help.

Yup, thought it was a Facebook issue. They run into Javascript issues every once in a while when they make updates, but generally fix things soon. In almost all cases where that happens though, there's not much we can do to work around the problem until they fix it.

Glad you got it going though, and should you need anything else, just let us know!

Thanks,
Alex
