Ok, so I set this up. and I love the AutoTune. makes it much easier than the old days. But. I am a bit confused. I want to be able to when a user comes to our fan page to be able to "Like" us and then be able to see our site in a large format and enter to win some free stuff. And of course read and see our content from the page. It seems I have both the TAB PAGE and the Canvas setup and I am not sure how to integrate them properly. The Page tab is very small and only shows part of our site page, and the canvas is full. I like the full size of course.. Do I only need one or the other etc.... Just looking for clarification of setup here.

Thanks!

Sorry for the post. I get it now.. I have fallen way behind on my social marketing.... No fan Page Fan Gates anymore...... Geez! so I believe I have a handle on this now and I am sorry for wasting your time.. . LOL................... :)

Actually, you can still have Fan Page gates, but they can't be for when the user directly arrives at your Fan Page. The 'little boxes' under the cover photo can still lead to a Reveal Page area, good for things like Coupons, newsletter signups or whatever you want. There's no way to deny a user from seeing your Activity stream, but you can still incentivize them to Like your page.

Hope that makes sense and helps, but if not, let us know. In general, it definitely sounds like you're looking for Page functionality and not the Canvas.

Best of luck!
Alex

Ok, I have another quicky question. Is there a way to get rid of the "Article" at the top of the Reveal Page?? I know when I am making off menu, or secret pages I always have to also use the additional &Itemid=____ to do this. I tried to add that in the options box provided by you guys and it of course did not work. So, short of writing a PHP snippet with str_replace I am not sure what to do.. Well I guess I could recode your work but that sort of defeats the purpose.. LOL

Oh, it is the Page ID:

Articles

Thanks....

The Articles thing doesn't come from JFBConnect. That's an annoying, ugly-ness from Joomla itself. There's 3 fixes you can do for this:
* Change the JGLOBAL_ARTICLES=Articles language string in the en_gb.ini Joomla language file to have a blank language string on the right (JGLOBAL_ARTICLES=Articles)
* www.cmsmind.com/joomla-remove-h1-tag-articles/
* or joomla-and-more.com/2012/03/04/how-to-re...in-a-joomla-article/

Hope one of those help. Not much we can do within JFBConnect to fix that annoyingness :)

Best of luck, and let us know how the above goes or if you need anything else!

Thanks,
Alex
