Topic-icon Comments the same on my site page as well as facebook post?

Is there any way to have the facebook comments from a facebook post the same as on my site? For instance, if I make a post on facebook for mysite.com/page1, I may receive 50 comments on facebook regarding the post. But on the actual page at mysite.com/page 1 there may be only 5. Is there a way to somehow link/combine the post and the page to share comments?

Thanks!

No, there isn't. When you post on Facebook, you're creating an 'original' blog post of it's own, if that makes sense. So, while that post may link to an article on your site, the comments would be for your original comment about the article.. not necessarily the article itself. Facebook wouldn't want a user's posts that are in response to your main comment to be associated with an article which may, or may not, really be related.

It's may be confusing, but it's mainly a way to make sure a user knows what they are actually commenting about.. your status update or the underlying article.

In general though, Facebook has no way to pull in the comments about a specific status update (which may link to an article) and show those status update comments on the article itself (or vice versa).

Hope that helps explain, but if not, let us know,
Alex

That explains it well (even though I wish the answer were different). Thanks for the speedy reply!

No problem, it's what we do! Should you need anything else, just let us know.

Finally, I notice your subscription expired quite a few months ago. We hope you'll consider re-subscribing again in the future. I also recommend keeping an eye on our blog or Twitter accounts as the next release is coming soon and it's going to have some great features in it!

Best of luck,
Alex
