Hi Alex,
So far i have great experience in using JFBConnect component in my website and i came to know a lot of things about it.
Today i have a new query for you, i hope that you will give me some solution about it.
In my website, the users are divided into two type of Groups. Let's say group1 and group2.Is this possible through JFBConnect component that i can restrict Group1 to login into the website with the help of JFBConect component and ask them to do login with their username and passwords respectively.Like this group has users registered into my website already and their usertype is 12 in database table. So can i restrict this user group from using Login With Facebook Facility and let them login into the website in their usual manner like entering their username and password.

And i want to allow Group2 to be logged in into my website through their Facebook account using the component JFBConnect. This group's users have usertype = 2 and they can use the Login with Facebook functionality.
Please give some solution or any type of suggestion from your side.Waiting for your response.
Regards,
Ashok

JFBConnect doesn't have any way to restrict what users can login using Facebook vs normal Joomla registration. We've never had the request, and I'm not really sure why you'd want to limit how users can login.

I can understand a desire to put a user into a specific group if they are registering through Facebook for the first time. JFBConnect doesn't support that either, but we could probably help implement that.

I guess the main thing that would help us understand and possibly help you implement the request is more understanding as to why you want to limit how users can login? Joomla doesn't support any restrictions like that out of the box for their authentication plugins (which we use), so that would be a bit of extra code on top of the normal methods.

Keep us posted on your ideas. Thanks,
Alex
