Hi guys,
I keep getting 'Facebook API Error: (#100) domain is invalid' when trying to update with my privacy URL. It is not really one, but from what I read from other posts it should not really matter.

Cheers
Kris

The privacy URL can be blank or it has to be to a page on the same domain that you have configured for both your App Domain and Web Site URL. I'd recommend running Autotune and setting all the recommended values with the Privacy Page setting blank. That way, things should work just fine. You can try to add the Privacy URL after that.

If you still can't set it using Autotune, that setting can be set manually in the Developer Area at developers.facebook.com/apps. If it doesn't work there, sometimes a much more descript error is presented though which may help determine the problem better.

Hope that helps!

Hi Alzander,
thanks for the reply.

I don't want to add it either, but check the snapshot that I have attached. Autotune is forcing me to add it.
File Attachment:

It wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that I am configuring on my local server, right?

Hope you can help out.

Cheers

Yep,

the problem seems to be with using the component with my local server, when I use my remote server it works.

Yeah.. so, Autotune states that it shouldn't be blank because it's a "required" field by Facebook. However, it actually can be blank and Facebook currently does not have any issues with that. We just like to really point it out to users that Facebook does state it's required so it *should* be set.

At some point, they may disable apps or do something else if you haven't specified the Privacy URL. You never know :)

Either way, glad you got it, and should you need anything else, just let us know!

Thanks,
Alex
