Yes, the credentials were received. We'll be trying to get into the site later tonight or tomorrow and will definitely let you know when we have any information to share (or hopefully it's fixed!)

Thanks,
Alex

Aaron,
I think we got it. The problem appears to be with the sh404SEF setting of "301 redirect from non-sef to sef URL". It was enabled. When I disabled it, the page seems to work fine for me. Definitely test, and let us know if that works for you.

We didn't test every setting in sh404SEF, but narrowed it down to that extension quickly by simply disabling altogether and seeing if that fixed it. Then, we zeroed in on that setting because we've personally had issues with that settings in the past for non-JFBConnect things. I've never heard of it causing an issue with JFBConnect, but it seems buggy in general when it tries to SEF'ize a non-SEF URL.

Please test and let us know how it goes. Hopefully you can live without that setting for now, at least.

Thanks for your patience,
Alex

unfortunately that didn't fix it. though we can leave that setting off as i fixed the only 3 links it affected.

I did however come accross more info. The problem appears cache related. I have my site set to conservative caching. I accidently left caching off for testing the link changes, and when i tested in fb it worked. however with cache enabled it broke.

Any idea how to fix. not caching is not an option on this site for performance reasons. This is global caching not the plugin.

Aaron,
I'm not having any difficulties visiting your Facebook App page anymore. When I go there, the page automatically logs me in and I don't get any error pages in the process. Things work normally after I'm logged in as well.

I just accessed the admin area to confirm that Conservative Caching was still enabled, so I'm not seeing what you're seeing anymore. I was able to easily recreate the problem previously though.

If you still have the problem, can you try:
* Clearing your browser cache or even try from a new browser altogether. I'm using Chrome on a Mac.
* Try from a different computer
* Try using a different Facebook account
* Going along with caching, I noticed the "shlib - Db query cache and programming library" plugin. I've never seen that, before. Is that something you use, and is it necessary? Disabling that may make a difference (less caching always causes less issues).

Try the above and let us know what configurations do/don't work for you. Since we can't recreate now, we need you to help us narrow down things that may be different between how we're testing.

Finally, caching definitely works with JFBConnect. We in no way state you should disable caching for normal operation. The only caching that cannot be used is browser caching, and that's for login functionality (in general for Joomla) to function properly.

Thanks,
Alex
