Can you post or Private Message a link to your page so we can take a look? It doesn't look like you've tried to run our Autotune configuration tool which can help automatically configure your site and check for common error. If you run that, it may help determine the issue as well.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex
Thanks for responding. I am not a techie, so am struggling with this. I have tried to activate the AutoTune, but have no idea where to obtain the FB App ID or FB secret key. Can you head me in the right direction...

Thanks again.

You shouldn't need to be a techie at all! That's what JFBConnect is for! If you haven't already, we recommend looking over our very detailed JFBConnect Configuration Guide . That should take you through the steps of getting your FB App ID, Secret Key and then running Autotune to have JFBConnect automatically configure the rest for you.

If you still have any issues though, don't hesitate to let us know where you get stumped!

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex
This extension is proving to be difficult. I have followed the configuration guide and constantly hit a brick wall with Facebook. I have created a user like they specify (that it cannot be a page) and I am receiving this error message that won't allow me to go any further with your configuration guide (see attached). I am unsure on how to proceed any further - are you able to assist?
Thanks
Frith

We can't help you with that message. For some reason, they aren't liking the account you created. You'll need to use the link in that post to submit an appeal to them and may need to verify you are who you say are when you created the Facebook profile. We can't work around their security checks in any way, and what you're running into is a security check.

Usually, the submission of that form is a pretty quick process and (from my understanding), accounts can be verified and allowed (if your information is legitimate) in 1-3 days. So, all I can suggest is starting down that path.

The only other alternative is to use a friends account to create your Facebook Application. They can do it immediately and then add you as an administrator at a later date. You can then remove them as an administrator as well. It's a roundabout way, but if you need to get up and running now, you'll need some sort of account to create the Facebook Application.

Finally, there are some features of JFBConnect that don't require an Application at all. Most features do need it, but things like Like buttons and Comment boxes can be automatically inserted into your content right now without one. If you need Login functionality, Facebook Invites/Requests, or other advanced features, that *will* require an application to be created.

Hope that helps, and sorry for the troubles,
Alex
