Hello.

I was prompted by Joomla to update the SCLogin to 1.1.4 from 1.1.3.
I did and now login does not work.
Also, in the JFBConnect component page installed version 1.1.4 is in RED and the latest available version remains at 1.1.3.

What's up with that??

Thanks in advance. Very pleased with your component. I'm sure this is some minor thingy.

Gus,
Yeah, not a real issue, but something we'll fix. We just released a new version of JLinked, which shares the SCLogin and SourceCoast Library extensions. Updates were needed to those extensions for JLinked, but not for JFBConnect. We'll likely release a new package for JFBConnect soon that will include the updates.. but none of them should affect JFBConnect behavior.

We're working on a better system for notifying of updates, but for now, upgrading to 1.1.4 is fine.. or staying on 1.1.3 was fine :) Of course, if you do run into any issues, just let us know.

Hope that explains,
Alex

Hey Alex:
Nice talking to you again.

SCLogin stopped working after the upgrade. I rolled back to 1.1.3 but that didn't help at all and users cannot login at the moment.
Has anyone experienced this behavior?
What should I do?

What's happening when they try to login? Are you getting an error, does the login popup appear, etc? Any info you can provide will be of great help to narrow down the problem and provide a solution.

Also, if you can, please post (or Private Message) a link to the page with JFBConnec so we can look into it further.

Thanks,
Alex

Hey Alex:

After clicking the login with facebook button the browser would clock for a second before stopping.
I reinstalled the component and everything seems to be working now.
Sorry for not reading this before in order to provide an oportunity to check out a possible error in the update.

In any case, always amazed by your incredibly fast support. It gives me such peace knowing that if anything happens, You Care!!

All the best!!

Not sure why re-installing would fix it.. but glad it did! As for the support, no problem, it's what we do! Thank you for your subscription which allows us to keep developing and providing our high level of support.

Finally, if you haven't already, please consider leaving a rating and review for JFBConnect, or our support, on the Joomla Extension Directory. It's certainly not required, but very appreciated:

Thanks, and good luck,
