Posts on JS on FB was created by bvtechteam
Hello Alex,
Some of our users report that their posts on our JS do not appear on their facebook wall. Others (like myself) have each post on JS appear on their FB wall.
Do you know how can we enable it for all users?
Thank you,

There's a few things to check to ensure it's correct:
* The user has to have authenticated through Facebook.
* In the Configuration -> Facebook API area of JFBConnect, make sure you've added the "publish_stream" value to the Additional Permission Requests field.
* Even then, when the user authenticates, they'll have the option to grant that permission. If they don't, the post will not go to their wall.

Finally, our plugin will only post messages in the activity stream that are marked as Public. If there is any privacy value on them, we will not push it to their wall.

Hope that helps. If you think it's still not working, just let us know!

Alex

Hello Alex,
Thank you for your response.
I followed the steps below, but it still does not work.
My posts do appear on my FB wall, although the setting: Posts on your behalf
Who can see posts this app makes for you on your Facebook timeline: if for Friends only and not public. Other users on the website still do not have the posts appearing on both JS and FB.
Thank you for clarifying,

Hello Alex,
I just wanted to check if you can support us in solving this issue. It is still the case and some users cannot cross-post posts from JS to FB.
Thank you,

Very sorry for the delay. Can you post (or private message) the URL to your JomSocial page? I'd like to test and see if I can recreate the issue. We unsure of any reasons, other than what I mentioned above, as to why posts wouldn't occur. If we can test on the front-end, we *may* be able to determine a cause. Most likely though, we'd need to get into the admin area to understand your configuration better though. After we test on the front end, we'll ask for those credentials if necessary.

We'll do what we can to get you going!

Thanks,
Alex

Sorry for the delay in getting back to this. I just tried to create an account using Facebook on your site, but was brought to an error page after clicking register.

Can you try to create a new account using Facebook and see if you run into the same issue? If so, please disable GZip compression and set Error Reporting to "Maximum" in the admin area. Hopefully that will provide a prettier error message that will help us diagnose the problem. If that doesn't help, please try disabling any profile plugins you may have enabled and see if registration works then. That will help narrow things down.

Until then, I can't create an account to test the post to wall feature. It's possible the 2 issues are related though, so hopefully tackling this first one will fix the other issue as well.

Thanks,
Alex

Hello Alex,
Thank you for your response.
Please try again now we.
When the error reporting is set to simple it works.
When it is set to max we get:
Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /public_html/components/com_users/models/registration.php on line 268

Could you try again and advise about both issues?
Thank you,

I just tried to register on your site and got the error you mentioned. I've never seen that before, and there aren't any known issues that I can find with Joomla regarding that. It's not something from JFBConnect, but we'll try to help how we can.

Looking at that line of code, it seems to be a problem loading the component parameters for the User component of Joomla, specifically, the user's language. Can you go into the User Manager, hit "Options" and simply hit "Save". Then, test again. If that doesn't work, please go into the Language Manager, select a language and hit the "Default" button. Then, again, test.

Hopefully, one of those help get you going. There's no reason that changing the Error Reporting to "Simple" should 'fix' the issue, it may just prevent the pretty error from displaying. I would still expect a blank white page to appear.

Let us know how that goes. Until we can get in, it's difficult to diagnose the other problem, but this issue seems more important anyways.

Thanks,
Alex

Hello Alex,
Thank you for your help.
We fixed something on our language manager and it seems to work now.
It seems that now most of our users can cross post from JS to FB automatically. I am not sure if this is the case for all and I am checking it.
Would you like to try again and see if it works for you and if you discover any issues that can be fixed?
Thank you,
