When I log out but stay on the site, I am immediately logged back in. If I log out again, it logs me back in. Is this the way it is supposed to work on auto login? No way to let them be?

If you haven't already, upgrade to JFBConnect v4.2.4. There was a change with Facebook in July that caused auto-logins to work... differently. The new release adds a timeout between when auto-logins can occur to prevent the user never being able to log out.

If you are using 4.2.4 and still having issues, let us know!

Thanks,
Alex

Hey Alex

I have the JFBC 4.2.4 and all the trimmings. PHP 5.3.19, latest Joomla (stable). It only gives me a second or two before re-logging me in. Your credentials are still valid.

Do you have System - Cache or any other caching enabled? Not sure if that's the cause, but I can see how that may be causing the problem. We'll have to test more with autologging and caching, just in case.

Can you try disabling caching in Joomla where you can, clear your browser cache, and then see if the problem goes away? If so, we should be able to work around that, but it may take a little bit to come up with the solution.

Thanks, and sorry for the troubles,
Alex

I did have System conservative caching on, turned it off, purged cache and expired cache, still re-logs in the person who just logged out. I only know of the system cache, are there other Joomla caching systems at work which I may turn off/modify?

I did clear the browser cache as well.

Since I have not seen anyone else post about this, I wonder if it is my install that is creating the problem. Sometimes when I close a module set up on the Admin side, it get a note saying I can't access that (upon my exit) and I see that in the module list that the module is not "checked in." It takes me two tries to check it in. That can't be right.

I hear warnings for admins to check if there are Java library conflicts, but I don't know how to discover a conflict. Is there a program which will accomplish this?

Thanks for your advice,

Jerry

PS- Have two sites with up-to-date Joomla (2.5.6), JFBConnect (2.4.2) running up-to-date YooTheme templates. RainCityDigs runs on PHP 5.2.9 and WritingPractice runs on PHP 5.3.14. they do have different Yoo templates, but both are current versions (Aug 2012). WritingPractice is the one that re-logs you in immediately. RainCityDigs behaves as it should when you log out and leaves you alone.
